At my writing desk: I didn't get done this morning, so I'll be catching up tomorrow.
Praying for: Germany -- again. I wish the violence would stop.
Thankful for: The names of Jesus -- all 200 of them, that reflect who He is and what He does for us. The Bread of Life, The Holy One, King of Kings, The Light of the World...
Journaling prompt for today: The first book I remember is... My Uncle Gaither and Aunt Posie didn't have children, so they would come {very early} to see us open our Christmas gifts. They brought us a large picture book of farm animals. My sister will deny this: I think it was mine, but I also think it's in her library.
Postmarking: Bought some cards today to use to send to police officers. I've received most of the addresses, and tomorrow will get the lists to those who wish to send to them.
I'm praying for Germany as well! So tragic. :(
ReplyDeleteLike your Spurgeon quote says, "We have a great Christ."
I like your thoughts on thankfulness today. The quote is also great! How reassuring!!
ReplyDeleteI love farmer's markets! I look forward to getting to visit the one near by my home very soon. I have a friend who is currently a missionary in Germany so my family is praying for them as well. Thank you for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteYour trip to the farmer's market sounds great. Curious... does your favorite apothecary and soap co. have a website? Also, how does your friend John sell popcorn for missiones? I'm a missionary and really interested in involving more friends in the states with what we do here in Costa Rica, but in creative ways- not just the typical prayer and financial support. Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteI have recently removed all news from my life so unfortuantely I have no idea about Germany but will keep them in prayer for peace. On another note, what is Toe Jam I'm assuming it's not the lint in between your toes?

ReplyDeleteThe names of God have always amazed me. May the Good lord who is also called Jehovah Shalom (God of peace) bring peace into Germany. Amen.
ReplyDeleteAmen! I love your blog posts as you know already <3 When you write my creative brain get visual and I see a story.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the prayers for Germany. My husband is German but he lives here in Norway with me. It is tragic with all the stuff going around in the world at the moment. Bless you.
Awww I love these little acts you share with us such as writing letters to the police and praying for specific events. Good stuff!
ReplyDeleteThe first book I remember is "The secret garden". My mother read it to me when I was 5 years old.
ReplyDeleteWow. I didn't realize there were 200 names for Jesus. That is awesome!
