Pamela's Daybook: June 10th

Today: A quiet day for me. The girls and RB are going on a Father's Day Father/Daughters date tonight. Out to eat and a concert at the University.

At my writing desk:  Editing a lesson about Abraham's blessing. I worked on a project of my own last night and it's been working in my head ever since. I have a page of notes to work off of. (Did you know it's acceptable now to use a preposition at the end of a sentence for informal writing? Yeah for no awkward sentences trying to fit it in.)

Praying for: RB and I have a request. We'd love for you to help us pray.

Thankful for:  Grace -- underserved, yet willingly given.

I'm reading: I'm reading a children's book for research. Fun!

Postmarking:  We postmark sheltering encouragement, but this sheltering idea brought tears when I saw it on Pinterest.

Favorite quote: When my arms can't reach people close to my heart, I hug them with my prayers. (

  1. I've just prayed for you and RB.
Delighted to read about the preposition-at-end-of-sentence acceptability.
The soldier idea is brilliant one.
Prayer changes things. Prayer changes ME!
We've just returned home from a week-long silent retreat at the Abbey of Gethsemani. So refreshed am I.

  2. I also prayed for you and RB.
I enjoy reading your daybook - you have so many wonderful ideas that inspire me!

  3. This is Kayla... I really enjoy your daybook too! It is so encouraging to me.
